RSS Feeds

What feeds are available?

You can subscribe to a number of RSS 2.0 feeds from the site. The main RSS feeds are listed below:

What is RSS?

The BBC provides a very good description of RSS: “RSS is an easy way for you to keep updated automatically on websites you like. Instead of you having to go to websites to see if they’ve written a new article or feature, you can use RSS (which stands for Really Simple Syndication) to get them to tell you every time they have something new.”

How do I use RSS?

RSS is mostly used by computer programs known as ‘news readers’. These programs allow you to view the information from many different RSS feeds. If you don’t already have a news reader you will have to download or purchase one. There are many free news readers available on the internet.

Many web browsers - such as Firefox, Internet Explorer 7 and Safari - and some email programs (such as Thunderbird and Yahoo! Mail) have news readers built in. The table below provides links to some dedicated news readers.
