Professor Jim Pope, President, Queensland Academy of Arts and Sciences is pleased to invite you to a briefing on Climate Change and the road to Copenhagen, by Greg Bourne, CEO, WWF-Australia.
In the lead up to the international conference to be held in Copenhagen in December, the topic of climate change has become a hot political issue. In his presentation, Greg Bourne will attempt to answer some important questions that have often been obscured in the heat of the debate, including: How solid is the evidence for climate change? What are the likely impacts if we don’t act? Do we have the technology to stop runaway climate change? Why is a global deal to reduce emissions so critical? What does a strong global deal look like?
There will be ample opportunity for questions following Greg’s presentation.
