Here is the latest on some conservation news:

  • Macquarie Island eradication project update WWF’s 2006 advocacy work on Macquarie Island resulted in a commitment to fund the eradication of rabbits from the island. The project team is assembled, the dogs are being trained, the huts are refurbished and will be on their way to the island in early February.
  • Eastern Bristlebird The Minister announced some good news for the Eastern Bristlebird in Shoalhaven area. WWF-Australia and Birds Australia welcomes the decision in this media release

  • Qld Election & WWF During the recent Queensland State Election, WWF had an online letter-writing campaign identifying four key areas of proposed solutions. These letters gained great feedback from politicians with many replying to the letters in full.
