i am starting to wonder what the word 'conservation' means to many who support lowering global warming -- the concerts will certainly bring attention, but in antarctica?
we have treaties to protect antarctica, and a carbon gulping rock concert in antarctica isnt in the treaty - for good reasons - the organisers will not answer communications regarding the antarctic concert -- it will probably be held on usa antarctic soil, where the treaties are not observed, and the eco damage will be substantial.

Yeh - I know what you mean about those plugins etc... There's not much buzz about it up in Sydney either - I think more to do with the fact the lineup hasn't been finalised. I've not even seen a venue mentioned yet... I thought Bloc Party might have been playing in Sydney (as they're touring here in August), but they're committed to another venue, so it'll be interesting to see who else comes on board.

Should be a good gig, regardless - and hopefully lots of people will come away with a deeper understanding of the issues and how they can act - and feel empowered to do so. Even if they're just there to see their fave band play...

Live Earth! It sounds awesome! For some reasons there hasnt' been much talk down in melbourne town, possibly because of the sydney residency, but im looking forward to it all the same.

It's great to see MSN take a leaf out of yahoo and looking in to carbon neutral business. Im really excited about big dinosaur companies turning carbon neutral. ING direct is another also.

I hope the broadcast will be able to us OS X users - without needing to download a crazy popup plugin.
