I was reading in the Inner West Courier the other day that Leichhardt and Marrickville council, in Sydney’s inner-west, have added additional car “pods” for the GoGet car sharing service.

The article highlights some of the concerns about providing spaces for such services and the impacts on local residents, but also shows that the council values such services for the environmental and social benefits they offer.

Certainly good news for Marrickville and Liechhardt residents who want to use the service.

On another, slightly related, note - I spotted a Mini the other day bearing a 60’s psychadelic inspired re-working of the GoGet logo. The cars are not yet listed on GoGet’s site, but it did look very cool…
